Will Hammer use a new power plug like the p4?

well I'll have to dissapoint U i'm afraid ...

as far as I know the new hammer does use the 4pin (P4) plug

oh great... i just got rid of my enermax 350w FC model because the fan doesnt spin fast enough. So i traded it for a normal 550w enermax with none of that fancy temp control or manual control stuff... i guess ill have to go use that plug or something. :( Thanks anyway. :)

Most manufacturers also have a standard 4 pin power plug on their P4 motherboards now. This works in place of the special 4 pin power connector on P4 motherboards. So, you may not necessarly need a new PS, but it will have to be able to supply the needed wattage though.

It seems most early Hammer prototype boards do indeed feature the same 4pin plug for extra power that has become common on P4 boards, personally I'm inclined to think it's a good idea with processors beginning to draw ever more power.
