I called this morning and got a hold of the accounting department. I explained what my postion was/is (basically sick of paying close to $100 a month on service and no incentives to make me want to renew a 2 yr contract) and requested the SERO plan. She put me on hold for a minute or 2 and came back and said it was some thing they could do for me. She went thru the motions of asking me which plan I was interested in. I told her the $30 plan and she said it would not be a problem.
The system would not let her put me on the plan. She put me on hold for a few seconds and then her supervisor picked up to apologize and that the new plans are the only options available. Still $99 'Simply Everything Plan' isn't what I am interested in paying....no matter unlimited anything.
Basically there are no more perks or awesome deals to be had. The new SERO plans are in no different from what is available to anyone else.
I may have seemed a bit snotty, but I asked her to make it worth me staying with Sprint. She said she would look into it and see what they could do. I asked her how long have I been with Sprint and she said it would be 10 years the end of this month. I asked her what would 10 years get me in terms of incentives. Of course she couldn't answer but she asked if she could have her manager call me back and inform me of my options.
Well, it's been 2 hour plus and still no call. Not that I am expecting one or anything......
