thinking of going back to a bx m.b.I have a cusl2 with a p3700@1050.
On a bx board that would be about 100 mhz bus speed.Have any of you
run a geforce 2 that hi?

i hear that. just finished a box for a friend and decided to venture into the 815E world w/ a CUSL2 and while it is very quick, it doesn't quite match the snap of my BF6/650E(@866-950). biggest hit is memory performance. other than that, while the CUSL2 doesn't offer any performance benefits over the BX, it feels like it has room to grow. i know i can't wring much more out of my BF6.

i had a GTS on a BX Master @ 150 MHz.

However, it wasn't stable. Unfortunately, i can't tell if it was the CPU, the mobo or the video card that wasn't stable.

How did you get by the default voltage issue with the CUSL2?

using sisoft2000-memory bench.

i have run my BF6/650 @ 975 and mem benches are around 490/530 at cas2(mosel v). i/m still not sure about the wisdom of moving to a BE6 II or the CUBX. never heard a great deal about the CUBX being that outstanding, and the high point on the BE6 is junk - what steared me to the BF6(same board no high point controller). i know it will be fun to f... with the chip on a BX, but you may get burned and not hit the gig again.

i don"t care about the controller cause i use scuzzi and shut off the ide
cont.bx m.b.seem snappier than 815,faster all around.

p.s.i am having a benckmark battle with a friend using 3dmark2000.

i know its just a synthetic #,but he beets me by about 600 points
my score 7874 his 8500.we pretty much have the same system except for m.b.

voltage issue - many (I thought all) CUSL2's will POST at default voltage after a hard reboot. In other words, regardless of what you set the CPU voltage to be in BIOS, you will POST @ default voltage

after a soft reboot, that doesn't happen.

so if you're o/c'ing that high, you have a BADASS cpu bro!

as far as Sandra is concerned, I can't for the life of me remember

it was hysterically high tho, even whupped up on the 1 Gig T-Bird settings.

but that was @ 1012 (144 FSB @ CAS2)

1050 got me a lot of strangeness. I would get super high scores sometimes, and super low scores other times. I'm sure it wasn't the RAM, cuz I had the same issues @ CAS3. Dunno if it was the GTS or the CPU or mobo.

Zipperhead, how the hell does he get 8500?

what res/color depth/settings? What is his system?

I get ~8000 using a GTS @ 220/430 + P3@1012 (7*144 @ CAS2), default benchmark

what do you mean?

it'll show what you want it to show in BIOS, but if you actually measure it, the CPU voltage during bootup isn't what you're specifying in BIOS, it's 1.65v (or 1.50v for a celerie-II)
