Whoa. 8 fake electorates granted immunity.
Probably to convict those who recruited them ? I.e, convict the leaders rather than the pawns. Once you grant them immunity they have to answer all questions even those that might have indicted themselves since they are now immune; failure to answer all questions truthfully typically remove immunity.

But why would the court even entertain this motion of dismiss?
I think they have to go as far as have a hearing on the motion; for which they will likely immediate dismiss it now that time and money has been wasted on a response. They might censor Trump's lawyer if they agree with the DA position and this censor might include a fine or requirement they pay legal fee but only time will soon tell what will happen with the ruling.

Remember, Americans live in a fiction that nobody is above the law, nobody, that is except those with the power, influence and money for high powered attorneys who can conjure up helter skelter out of dusty tomes how, when, where, and what the law should be.

Trump’s life makes a farce of everything. He has risen to the heights of power because he has climbed there over the bodies of others with their permission because we feel like nobodies and he tells us very precisely we are and fear to see we believe it.

No thanks to the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune. Better not to be.

Methinks indicting Trump got a whole lot easier after the dam busted open with the documents and hush money payoff ones. Chickens finally coming home to roost and I can just imagine how many other crimes he's committed that'll lead to even more indictments down the road. It seems the more inconsequential he becomes as far leading the party's cult base, the more he'll be likely to suffer a barrage of indictments the he surely deserves. It seems the only thing that can save his ass from being thrown behind bars is a miraculous presidential win by the MAGA's sometime in the near future.

Well... Trump "could be" our next president. Lot of weird stuff going on. A lot of unknowns. A lot of wild cards. For example.... wild card Aileen Cannon, wild card Trump legal delays, wild card open minded juries, wild card Biden's health, and the new wild card.... the NO LABELS PARTY.
Republicans are quite shrewd. When they know they can't win legitimately they develop a new way to win. This time its the old split the vote wild card. And, they're only hope to get Donald Trump reelect. And in case no one has noticed, they are well on their way. They can't win legitimately but there are other ways to win. And republicans know all of the other ways because they use them all the time.
