Perjury charges tell me they didn’t get enough evidence to charge any of the more pertinent crimes—likely because evidence was withheld (for fear of self-incrimination) or obfuscated with lies.

How do you think they got out of the Russian case. They all lied.

Uh yeah that’s perjury;)

I would just like it if the rich and powerful (ie politicians) were held accountable to the same standards and laws we little people are held to.

Don't be ridiculous, peon. Laws are for thee...not for me.

Trump's latest rant makes the claim that since the only mention of indictments from the Special Grand Jury was for one or more of those interviewed who had lied means that he has been completely exonerated. Of course his followers will believe it I guess until he is actually indicted, which couldn't happen soon enough.

This was fascinating but she should have kept her mouth shut. Don't think it was helpful to any pending indictment of Trump.

Yeah, the foreperson should have absolutely stayed private. This just gives later ammo to defense team(s).

Then again, she doesn't seem all that bright so ...

Yeah it is bad she wants her 15 minutes. But realistically not like she actually hasn’t said anything not know already. Yeah orange monkey lawyers will be calling for a mistrial every day though.

I'm not so sure that the foreperson wanted 15 minutes of fame. Her name was discovered by news outlets as her name (Emily Kohrs) appeared on subpoenas that apparently was quite a stack. It only make sense that she would go ahead and do some sort of interview to avoid being hounded to death by media outlets. Saying that she would be satisfied if the only indictments were for perjury was a bit troubling as Trump didn't testify so he could not be charged with perjury. I don't think she realized what she was saying and I'm sure it won't matter.

There are almost certainly going to be numerous charges on the pertinent crimes. The forewoman all but confirmed they recommended them.

She is pretty damn looney, like on drugs looney. But then again, I think she was a Trumpie or Trump friendly at some point in her past as she has said, and the prospects of facing Trump seemed to excite her. She could be a maga plant, or good at acting looney to damage the entire investigative process.
After people like Trump's Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell, I wouldn't put anything pass Trump and his maga operatives. I'm sure Trump has plenty pf people out there plotting HOW CAN WE SCREW THIS INVESTIGATION UP? And this lady seems like a pretty good try.

Watched a bit of one of her interviews last night, and yeah she was way too excited about shaking Rudy's hand. Was really embarrassing if you ask me. She does seem more than a bit "off".

Notice no one is stopping Trump from running for the Oval Office again?

Gimme a call when the dude is handcuffed and being taken to jail.
You realize nothing can stop someone from running for president, right? You can run from death row if you want.

Trump will be indicted, probably multiple times.

The real problem is that the judge did not release the recommendations of the GJ. Once again, our Justice System is so concerned that rich white men might be upset that they undermine our entire system to protect them.

You know that being arrested would not stop him from running, right? There is nothing in the Constitution that says that a convicted felon can't be President.

I just could not believe how breathlessly ridiculous some folks got over the fantasy that Trump would be jailed.

I believe he should have been, especially since Trump's psycho backers are praying to every deity they can possibly dream up to jail Obama.

The judge that handled the special grand jury said they were free to discuss anything in the final report. So giddy foreperson didn’t do anything wrong.

And... Trump predicts if that happens that his maga crowd will never allow it. You see, Trump hasn't been indicted for his first insurrection yet and he's already planning his second.

Do we realize that in fact and in truth that Donald Trump is and will go down as the worst president in American history? Trump always claimed to be the best at everything and now his claim will come true, the best at being the worst president ever.

PS. I have noticed something lately with Trump, especially now that he is back in public, I've noticed he is getting older. Trump is showing his age. Can you imagine Donald Trump at Joe Biden's age? Trump would be crapping his pants every time he gives a speech. Yep, his age is certainly catching up with him.

I was wondering if Gov Kemp can pardon Trump in GA. The short answer is no but there is this...
If Mr. Trump were to be convicted of a state crime in New York or Georgia, a federal pardon would not be applicable. In Georgia, Mr. Trump cannot look to Mr. Kemp for a state pardon, and not just because the two have a fractured relationship. In Georgia, pardons are granted only by the state board of pardons and paroles.

I can see Republicans in GA cooking the books on the parole board to give him a pardon. I looked up the info on the board. They would have to replace many of the members for that to happen. I can easily see Republicans pulling that off. The same Republicans in power in the legislature had blacks kicked off local election boards in the state.
