Will GeForce3 Ti200 work in 865PE (AGP 8x) Boards?

I have a Visiontek Xtasy Geforce3 Ti200 AGP card. I do not know if it is a 2x or a 4x AGP card (searched the Visiontek site and card specs but no go!). Does anyone know if it will work in the new P4 motherboards using the 865PE chipset (like the Asus p4p800)? The motherboard has an AGP 8x slot.

From what I have read, a 4x card should work in an 8x slot but I am not sure if the graphics card I have is a 4x or 2x card.

Thanks!

Great! Thanks a lot! That saves me the expense of having to buy another video card right away.

I was wondering the same thing. It sure helps to look at a few pages of threads before asking a question and reposting.

You might wanna check agp spec. I don't remmember if that card is dual voltage 3.3v and 1.5v. Your mobo is 1.5v only......

It's fine. even the original (pre-ti) gf3's supported 1.5v.

Alright!!! Thanks again everyone!!

Shuelessjo: Hope the system is doing well! I am also thinking of getting the same MB (deluxe version) and use my VisionTek GF3 Ti200 with it. Let me know if there is something I need to watch out for! :)

So far so good with my system and PC2100 DDR. The 2 sticks for Kingston 512 MB PC3500 will be getting here on Tuesday. When I replace the memory I will post my results after installing the memory.

Looking forward to it, I bet! Hope the memory upgrade goes well. I am trying to decide between the Kingrston HyperX PC3200 and the Corsair PC3200 LL. Is there any advantage to using PC3500 memory? Will it be faster for overclocking or is it just an investment for future upgrade?

I put the system together over the weekend. The card works fine. Windows XP did not automatically recognize the card, but once I installed the drivers, Win XP recognized the card fine.

Thanks everyone!!!
