I know they want to sell Shield, but could GameStream potentially work with other Tegra 4 / Tegra Note based tablets in the future? Or does Shield have extra hardware to receive low-latency streams that's missing from the standard Tegra 4 chipset?

I've tried alternatives like Splashtop, but they don't seem to come close to Shield performance. I'd really like to see GameStream on standard, general purpose tablets. The Shield form factor doesn't really appeal and I don't want to have two devices with overlapping specs for just one feature.

I don't know. But I would think this is something Nvidia would want to do. I don't think the Shield is going to be very popular for Nvidia. And Nvidia sounds like they are having trouble finding partners to sell the Tegra 4 to (not seeing it in very many tablets). Doesn't seem like Nvidia has done enough to leverage it's gaming experience toward selling Tegra chips. Being able to add an exclusive feature like GameStreaming to the Tegra 4 feature list would sweeten the deal a bit.

Though maybe the Shield has something that other tablets don't have and it's not possible at this point. And it has to wait for Tegra 5 next year.
