Will Fox News support Obama unconditionally like they've supported Bush?

Do you think Fox News is just a bastion of conservative viewpoints, or are they just very supportive of the president?

Do you think Stewart/Colbert/CNN/NY Times are all just DNC hacks, or are they are going to be just as critical of Obama?

This has already been shown. Check Fox's viewpoint towards the president from their inception up through oh... say mid January 2001. Extremely adversarial, attacking the president at every turn. Something magical happened that month though and the network changed from extremely adversarial to ultra-supportive. I wonder what that was?

I think they're worried about their ratings for the next eight years.

BillO called-out Nielsen (the people who track ratings) for liberal bias because KeithO beat his show in ratings this week.

Pain for Faux News is good for me.

When he makes mistakes, yes. I expect them to try to make as many jokes out of Obama as they've made out of Bush.

Obama provides a lot less comedic material. That's just reality.

We have a Republican president... not a liberal.

There is so much wrong with your reply.

Well, in all fairness they haven't supported GWB unconditionally.

But I don't see them switching to be like CNN or MSNBC (i.e., having a perceived left bias).

That's not their market niche or reason for existance.

Personally, I think they'll enjoy being on the *outside*. It's soo much easier to fling complaints/critcism (with no solution) and a heckava lot more fun too.

To me, the better question is what is Olberman gonna do? He should have no reason to rant & rave anymore, will he be reduced to some kind of drooling cheerleader with tingles going up his leg?

I'll remind you Fox is used to being on the other side, they had Clinton and the *bimbo erruption/impeachment* stuff. They know how to play the game while in the minority, Olberman will be on new ground.

There is no media bias. You guys have been telling us on the right that for months.

Why the big change all of a sudden?

Are you seriously comparing two comedy shows to an entire news channel?

honestly, I think this might be good for Fox ratings. if they end up as the only news outlet majorly critical to Obama, conservatives might look to them even more as a shelter in the storm of Obamania.

from its inception, Fox news was more pro-Republican than pro-CiC. they certainly weren't on Clinton's side until Hillary was getting creamed by Obama.

It's just Fox that has a bias, all the other media outlets are 100% objective journalism.

FYI Rush's ratings and popularity went UP during the Clinton years and has gone a bit in the Bush years.

Put Obama in the White House and his ratings should go up again. Same thing could happen with Fox.

Actually, I was thinking about this earlier. But not just Fox News, a handful of neoconservatives are doing a little "ass-kissing," if you will, and its actually been going on for a while now.

It could be very interesting to see who wears what cheerleading outfits come 2009, particularly in regards to foreign policy.

I think one would have to be a fool to think there's some kind of loyalty neo-conservatives have to the Republican party. But will they have any influence on an Obama administration? That's the question. So far, I would say "yes," but it is way too early in the ballgame. How Obama finishes Iraq, and how he deals with Iran will shed some more light on this.

People love the thought of ending the war in Iraq, and rightfully so. But Obama's stances on Georgia/Russia, and on Iran/Israel have been ignored by the anti-war on the Left. If or when the shit hits the fan, will those who opposed war during Bush's administration become war apologists during Obama's?
