Will eVGA FX5200 and XFX low-profile bracket kit work?

The question that comes to my mind at this point is *WHY* anyone would want an "FX". I already had more than my own share of ripped-off exposure to that awful VGA generation three years ago. I not only wouldn't spent one cent to own one, I'd turn down a $500 offer to me to run any of those clinkers for a week! Not only are none worth $21, I can't wrap my mind around the idea that anyone savvy enough to belong to Anand Tech would *WANT* an FX!

If you can find a new MB for $21 plus shipping, let's hear where that might be! There never was any "FX 5200" for the PCIe (16) bus. It was renamed to PCX 5350 when sold with an Intel PCIe bridge chip added to it. The link at Newegg I looked at was for an AGP 4X card.

But "nearly as good" is an understatement, since not counting Intel's awful IGPs, the onboard chips from AMD and from nVIDIA are MUCH better than a low level FX, and not even the 5950 can do what the newest and strongest from those two 3D graphics houses offer now.
