The specs say that it won't work under Windows x64 but I was wondering if anybody had gotten it to work in Vista64.

It should. Windows XP 64 bit, if that is what they are talking about, is a horrible OS for gaming and even a lot of software. Some hardware as well.
 
Its actually for my son so I won't have to deal with how bad it is...I remember those reviews too but figured spending $2 wasn't too bad.
