Will Dual monitors work with this? Quick question, just yes/no answer!

OK, my friend has two monitors and he has a Radeon 8500DV All in Wonder which only has one monitor output.

Can he plug in a Radeon 7000 PCI and will dual monitors work fine in WinXP? Any conflicts or anything from doing this?

should be fine. compatibility in xp is pretty good, but you cant say for sure until you try it.

i'm just unsure if two ATI cards would create a conflict? what about the 8500 + a GF2 MX PCI? either combo is doable for him...just want to know what will work the best

everything i read at the time i chose to do mine suggested using two different makers and i run a radeon all in one and matrox milleneum
pci as it was cheap and works fine
also a friend had a radeon ve and tv wonder in his computer and had conflicts galore(yes it worked in 98 but wasn't very stable and forget xp pro)
i can't offer better than this though

it will work. i had my all in wonder radeon with a gf2mx pci. but had to give up the pci card to my brother cuz his vid card died. it's so nice to be on dual monitors but it does take up a lot of space. that is unless you got 2 lcds.
