wel my friend played it fine on his k6-2 350 with 64 megs of ram and an integrated video so cheap the company who made it didnt write their name on it :). He has an ibm system witch loads ton of sh|t at startup so it bogs down his comp your should be fine and if it isnt just bring the game back.

Usually you can't bring the game back. I think it run quite bad on that system. My brother plays it at school on a P2 350, 64mb RAM but it is really laggy and he said he couldn't even fit the Act2 boss because he would go into the room and it would have to work a lot to load the guy and room and then when it stopped working he was ead.

I think the system requirements are bullsh1t. I think for single-player 32mb is the minimum. Yeah right.

Thanks everyone,

I don't want to spend the money if I can't get good gameplay. It's too bad you can't return software. Oh well. I guess I'll have to upgrade soon. :)

Try to get more RAM - at least up to 128 megs. That's the key to smooth play in Diablo II.

64MB of ram is almost too little for D2, from my experience. I'm running a p2 450, and with the Seti client running, some areas (especially with lots o' monsters) are laggy. I had the same probem with the act 2 boss, yet Diablo was no trouble at all, as far as load times go. I usually turn off the Seti Client, and it's playable, but I do need more ram.

D2 is definatly worth the cost of upgrading. That game is so much fun :)

No lag in W98SE when I went from 128 to 256. I don't even have to shut down everything in the background. I'm thinking that the -w switch is undocumented for D2 in a window? As I recall, some people had better luck running it in a window. You might try it.
