My friend has a two year old black Dell and he wants to upgrade the mobo since it doesn't have an AGP slot. I heard that Dell Psus will fry any motherboard other than their own. Is that true? Thanks

no it depends, some dell uses normal atx power now, your best bet, support.dell.com goto product manual, tech data and the'll be pin out.. being its black, its probably the dimension 2100 ? or 2400

Dells have a different connector on the mobo and PSU - like an upside down regular one. I think you can get cheap adaptors though which do the trick.

Any guys wanna point to a store in the US?

Pin 1 is alerady different 3.3V vs 5V

Dell Dimension 2300 = YES
http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/dim2300/techov.htm#1101565
Pin Matches Exactly

Dell Dimension 2400 = Maybe
http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/dim2400/en/sm_en/techov.htm
Pin 18 - Not connected - May not need

So if you dont know what model, its harder to tell, use the ATX reference..
