Will Dell 530 survive Northwood Socket 478 phase?

Would appreciate opinions and review links on the Dell Workstation 530.
Does any one have any knowledgeable issues with what this machine
has to offer (i860chipset, P4 Xeon, CPU, Sys Bus, RDRAM) and how
it performs as a system? Where will this system stand when the
Northwood Socket 478 series is phased in?

I?fm looking for a system that can keep up with graphic and financial app trends.
Any feedback would be appreciated.
