Will Corsair CM3X2048-1600C7DHXIN damage my i7 920?

I just purchased a i7 920 with an ASUS P6T Deluxe/OC Palm LGA 1366 Intel X58 motherboard on newegg, and had intended to use three sticks of DDR3 CM3X2048-1600C7DHXIN RAM with it (I have these extra sticks from a prior build).

I read something about not using RAM with voltages too high though. These RAM sticks say 1.9V on them (I don't know much about what this means).

Will these RAM sticks damage my CPU/Board? Can I not use them?

Here's corsair's datasheet btw: http://www.corsair.com/_datash...3X4096-1600C7DHXIN.pdf

I have them from a Nehalem build, and was hoping to use them to save some cash.

Thanks.

I wouldn't chance it. I'm not sure what voltage the P6T will give to the memory once you boot it up. If it gives it 1.65V or lower your best bet would be to have to run the memory below the rated DDR 1600 setting.

The RAM won't kill your i7, the voltage will. Any DDR3 that is sold above 1.5v is "factory overclocked." They will all be able to run "i7 safe" voltages, but perhaps with lower speeds or reduced timings.

just reduce the voltage to 1.65 and if it boots it should work fine..
