Yes, I plan on OC'ing the CPU a little maybe like 4.0-4.2ghz. That's about all i need. I've tried OC'ing the cards and i think one or more of them is a little weak. I cant get anything over 1050ghz on the 290's without the lines in the screen. And the memory i cant get above 1360ghz without it glitching a little. I tried putting the voltage up +5% with EVGA precision. I dont know if im tweaking the voltage right or not.
Anyways i ordered the corsair ax1500i yesterday, so i should have it monday. I havent seen the system pull more than 1400 watts from the wall under full stress-testing/benchmarking. So i think I should be alright. I read tons of reviews and the worst ones i could find, people were just b**ching about the flat cables. Well, i plan on buying the full modular ones next week anyways.
I am trying to figure out if the sleeved cables set is adequate for my system. it says it has 4x 6+2 pin connector and 2x 6+2 PCI- E pigtail cables (600mm,750mm). i think the "pigtail" cables have 2 connectors on them right?? so have 4x 6+2 for the 8pin plugs on my gpus, then i have to use the TWO pigtail ones for the 4x 6pin plugs i have on my 4 gpus. is this going to overload the wires/virtual rails since 2x 6pin plugs are on each pigtail cable??? or is this how i'm supposed to set them up??
Also the 24pin atx cable is separate and i'm wondering which one to buy. One says it's generation 2 and the other one doesn't specify generation. It just says it has a detachable 4 pin section from the 24 pin part, i'm assuming i'm going with the Gen. 2. If im wrong let me know:thumbsup:
