Will Core Duo(Tonah) work on my SLI X16 mobo??

will it? i have the SLI X16 Intel Edition mobo, i hope it works, i cant wait for another 3 months for conroe. in the mean time i dont want to change mobo.

No, I doubt there will be an adaptor to allow that to work but you could get a Crossfire Motherboard for Core Duo CPU's altho no idea when it'll be available or the price: AOpen i975Xa-YDG

No. I assume you have NF4 SLI for Intel mobo, which is LGA775. Yonah is socket 478 (But different 478 from older Pentium 4).

didnt knew about the SLI one .
i thought that the patch that earlier available on the net made non-SLI certified mobo work SLI .

and he was talking about Core Duo ( Yonah ) Socket 479 .
and the downside is the conroe support . damn intel always a boo boo ass . keeps on adding new chips from new CPU . why dont they just make a chip that supports all of theier CPUs .

He was asking about using a core duo on his corrent LGA775 motherboard..not asking for a new motherboard that does support core duo.
