Will Biden be able to sign any effective laws even if the Dems have control in the Senate? Repubs can just filibuster?

From what I’ve read (and I think I posted it here) Biden and Pelosi can force congress to recess as the president gets to break a deadlock if the two sides of congress can’t agree on a time to recess. Then Biden can use the recess appointment power to fill his cabinet.

So I actually don’t see Mitch blanket opposing cabinet nominations. Everything else sure but he can’t actually stop cabinet nominations so he won’t make himself look weak by trying. In fact he’ll claim allowing cabinet appointments makes him bipartisan while blocking everything else.
Interesting.. so Biden can do recess judges as well then?

Aren't 2 of the Senators independent but caucus with the Democrats? It would seem you would loss them if the policy was too far left. Well one is Bernie Sanders so guess he would be OK with most stuff.

Angus King would be the other. He's the pragmatic type, I see him going along with Biden more than the pubs because the Dems aren't insane and trying to undermine American democracy.

Damn didn't think GOP hypocrisy would have started already. They are against a few of the potential cabinet nominees because
1) she has sent negative tweets about many of the GOP Senators that will confirm her
2) need to see the tax returns
3) conflicts of interest because of prior lobbyist positions.
lol - on passing those 3 hurdles, we'd still be at what, a grand total of 0 approved Trump appointees in 4 years?

Manchin's going to be a big pain. Mark my words, he's trying hard right now to be a power broker. Fn DINO.
