will Best Buy reprint a receipt?

I bought a Sanyo 8100 sprint PCS phone last May for my gf's birthday and apparently the hinges that close the phone are broken. The phone supposedly has a one year warranty but it says a receipt is required. I lost the receipt in the process of hiding the gift from her. Will they reprint the receipt for me? It was paid with a credit card.

Nope, and they won't honor the warranty on it without the receipt, either. That's why I prefer Circuit City in this regard...no receipt needed for warranty repair/replacement.

if you used a credit card and still have the card, or used a check they can and will.

sometimes they can look it up at the tech bench (the psp #)

The CC out here has jerked me 2 times on warranty. My scanner broke, and they "no longer fixed them" and told me where I could take it (wtf?) or I could give it to them to send off and wait forever to get it back. I love how they go "if it breaks bring it back in, and we'll swap you out a new one" LIES 😀

The best buy here has posted a sign saying they will reprint reciepts if you paid using a credit card.

the one bb i go to says they keep 3 years worth of transactions at the shop, older ones you will have to call corp.
