Will be in Vegas for the next four days

Will be staying at stateline "Whiskey Petes" and commuting on over to Vegas during the days and evenings. Suggestions for things to do, maybe even some ideas on reasonable pricing would be great. I know I would like to see Penn and Teller, the lake for the day and sight seeing. But beyond that, need some suggestions.

Why are you staying at stateline? Surely you can find comparable rates in the city. IMO, whiskey petes is a fairly run down place.

Price wise, 25 versus 150 a night was a little hard to swallow for just a place to sleep. Plus, I could always just pick up a night at Luxor or sumtin if the price is right.

If you want to go to Penn and Teller, go to one of the half price ticket places the day you want to go (get there early for best selection) and they usually have tickets available for Penn and Teller.

Other shows you might want to consider, but will spend some money on are O, Mystere, Blue Man Group, and Danny Gans. I am going again at the end of May and will see Ka for the first time so I can't recommend it yet, though I am sure being a Cirque Du Soleil show it will be great.

As far as blackjack goes, always ask what the rules are before you play. There are places on the strip that are as favorable as anywhere else.

Any good places for Blackjack which favors the player?

Learn how to count and find some tables that does not use Shufflemaster.

I'm gonna be in Vegas next week too! 😀

I'm thinking of doing this. Text 😀

That Penn & Teller thing sounds cool too.

Suggestions for doing Vegas stuff with the gf are greatly appreciated. 🙂

lol...right

Actually the casinos downtown offer better odds on most games. Especially craps. 10x odds. 😀

And the drinks are served in a smoky stale atmosphere by women who look like your grandmother. 😉

Hard Rock has some non-auto shuffler tables, but they run about $10-15 min bet, depending on the time of night. However, it's a nice place, and the waitresses are stunning (as are the female patrons!). I made a little money there except for one night when I really should have stopped drinking...

Vegas is a blast.

99% of the opinions about certain places are from a friend's friend who went there in 1984 and was drunk.

Just go around to different places and have fun.

I saw penn and teller last summer, thought it was terrible. Would recommend the same stuff crazee said. O, Mystere, Blue Man Group, and Danny Gans. I've seen all these and they are heads and shoulders above penn and teller. O is my favorite, but u'll prob have a hard time getting into it.

slu M.D.

Remember that the State-line will be close to a 45 minute haul into town.

Some of the downtown locations will have $29-$39 nights for weekdays.
