Will BBuy take these drives back?

Two WD HDs. Purchased yesterday. I took the plastic shrinkwrap off both boxes, but both drives are still sealed inside the static bags.

Only the shrinkwrap has been removed.

Today, they started PMing on the 120GB SE drive for only $10 more than I paid for an 80GB. :disgust:

Thanks.

I don't think you would have a problem, even if you would have removed them from the static bags.

Haha, I just saw your comment in the other thread about hot deals.

I think they will take it back because it has not been used and is the drive is still sealed. They usually tear the box itself apart when you return something even it's new because of he numerous cases of exchanging products/fraud.

I would refer to the BB Return policy and try more than one local BB if the first one does not accept a return.

They should. I returned an opened antec powersupply with no problem. Best Buy has a pretty good return policy.

As long as the serial numbers match, you will have no problem. I did the exact same thing. Returned a 40GB and bought a 60GB for less. When the guy asked me why I was returning I just said "Because a 60GB is selling for less" and he said "Oh, ok. They're over there"...

Thanks guys, that's good to know. I'm not trying to pull a fast one or any crap like that; all the numbers match. I just want another 80GB for $20 more, that's all. 😀
