Will bartons fit in Nforce2 Mobos?

I think the pin layout is the same, but whether your board will support a Barton or not may be another issue.

Some debate on this, Asus said no, but the guy asked if it would support a 400mhz Barton. Most review sites have said NForce2 boards will support Barton; it'll probably just take an updated BIOS.
