I want to RMA the card, but don't want ot have to ship it back and go without one for weeks and not be able to use my computer. All that is wrong with it is that the fan is dead. I'm tempted to just remove the fan and install my own, but only two problems - One is that I'd void the warrenty, and two is that I don't think I can find a direct replacement. I'd have to fit some 80 mm fan over it in some ghetto manner.

Anyone know where I can order just a graphics card fan?

Anyone know if radeon Drop Ships? I looked on their site awhile ago and didn't see an option... maybe I have to call ?

ATI won't just send you a fan, you will have to RMA the card. If you can't go without the video card, why don't you just pick up an aftermarket solution from someplace like Newegg? I'd keep the original HSF though, in case you have to RMA the card back to ATI anyway at a later date. You can then put the original back on before you ship it back to ATI.

good luck

There must be cross exchange RMA procedure.
Well, the moment you replace the fan on your card, you are avoiding your warranty permantly. Why not contacting ATI first.. :D

I have replaced fans on ATI cards - not hard. 4 little screws and two wires. I just go down to my local electronic supply house (SWS Electronics) or Radio Shack and get a replacement fan of the proper size.

If you are under warranty - then send it back to ATI (now part of AMD?)
