WILL ATHLON XPs GET NFORCE SUPPORT?

im obsessed with amd and altho i hate nvidia (they are evil. long live ati!) i seriously think the nforce will whoop booty, if you know what i mean.

will it support the new athlon xps? id love to see how that would work out!

I think you have your quesiton backwards. Its not the athlon's(palamino) job to work with the board , its the motherboard chipset itself. If the motherboard doesn't perform well with the new core then its not AMD's problem , its nvidia's problem.

well, as of now hey have problems supporting Nvidia's GeForce video cards......

Um, No.

And yes, the nForce will definitely support the Athlon XPs. Don't worry about it.

Just in the stores in Germany:

Plus, a food discounter ( !! ), is selling a PC with an MSI N-Force 420 board, 256 megs of dual channel Samsung DDR, Athlon XP 1700+, 40 gig WD 7200 HDD, 16x DVD, 16x Burner and all the onboard connections you can think of: Full 5.1 dolby surround with CNR riser with the rear, bass and digital SPDIF out and a AGP riser with the TV out connectors of the onboard video. There is also a ELSA 56k PCI modem. The front panel also has 2 USB connectors and headphone and microphone jacks. Further included is a cherry multimedia keyboard, Logitech wheel mouse, Win XP home, Aquanox and a few other games.

Costs 2499,- DM
or about 1200 US$

not bad really, considering it comes from a food chain... incidently this is the first n-force powered PC available in europe, check out the current issue of CT magazine.
