Will are these two modules of RAM compatible?

They should work fine..but don't know what CPU you have..if you are running a P4, not running dual channel will kill performance. Not as big a deal with A64's.

It's the other way around, buddy. A64s see a huge benefit with system memory in dual-channel, whereas the Pentiums are far less affected.

Also, Omizzle, make sure that you run your RAM at the 1T command rate. If you don't know about RAM command rates or where to find/change them, say so on this thread or make a post in the General Hardware forum. You might even try the Search function there if you're feeling tactful, lol.

No, you have it backwards. Have you tried running a P4 with single channel vs. dual channel? It makes a HUGE differance. P4's are bandwidth starved, A64's are not. The onboard mem conrtoller and hypertransport greatly reduces memory latency, and dual channel vs. single channel with A64's usualy only makes a 5% differance where as it can be around 15-20% with P4's. A64's are far more efficiant. Thats why using a divider with an A64 doesn't kill performance, while if you don't run 1:1 with a P4 it does hurt performance..
