Apple reportedly gave up on a physical panel a number of years ago. Looks like they're finally giving the current Apple TV new hardware and an app store which should be interesting. Showtime also is apparently going to debut their streaming on Apple TV.

I hate Apple products. Overpriced, feature stripped junk made with slave labor. Their customers are the cockiest idiots on the planet. Everything about that company is shit.

BUT

People continue to line up for their products. People will wait 3+ months for a $500 watch (that should cost closer to $150), people will buy $1500 laptops that you have to plug a squid into to use, people will buy $600 iPhones that have the same features as 3 year old Android phones, people will continue to be loyal to that company until the end of time.

Apple stock will continue to climb until...probably the next crash. I hate Apple but they have found a business model that is rock solid and have created brand loyalty to a degree that has never been seen before. Good for them.

Says the only guy in the thread spouting hate.

Apple isn't in the LCD business. What advantages could an Apple panel offer over an Apple TV + HDMI display? That question was never answered.

They sell a lot of LCD monitors, though. A TV is probably a smaller stretch to their existing product line than the Watch was.

That said, LCD TV's are basically commodities now. Apple wouldn't be happy with the profit margin on that business. They would have to do something really innovative to get people's attention, like a 3D holographic projector or something similar.

I think they will. I don't see them making a full on TV. Not enough margins and replacement time between TV's is way to long. I see them doing a new TV puck along with an Apple branded streaming service. No idea what they are doing in cars but don't see them building one.

Taking the OP up on the third poll choice, yes. Inflation plus blind 401k investors will push Apple over the trillion mark and all Apple has to do to get there is to not screw up too badly.

So the $s in shares is the real reason people keep hyping Apple products. The only thing I like about their products over Android is their battery life. Nothing else is day-to-day discernible. I can't say enough about overpricing and people licking it all up. It's all good for people making a profit though.

Or a BMW.

What kind of d-bag judges a person based on what kind of car they drive?

I don't think some of you know what overpriced means.
Did a google image search of "overpriced".
Top ten product results in order of appearance:
Beats by Apple
Starbucks
Apple cartoon
Real estate
Omosu
College
Bottled water
Apple memory
Gasoline
Steve Jobs

Number 11 and 12 were gay lifestyle and ho's.

Of course they will hit a trillion... there are still a lot of people who will pay $550 for something that costs less than $90 to manufacture.

you really cant argue that beats are not overpriced

if something was overpriced, then it wouldn't be so successful and would get priced out of the market. that's my point.

many people put value in the style/looks of beats headphones, and you can't put a finite price on that. to someone it is worth $0, to someone else it's worth $300.

if the majority of their customers thought they were overpriced, they wouldn't be so successful.

Is this for real ? What sort of d-bag would drive around in an Apple branded electric car ?

If the build quality was up to their phones and they provided the same level of support when you needed it that Apple Care gives you - it would be a no brainer. Having to get an iPhone fixed at an Apple store is a joy, when my Galaxy Note broke Samsung tried to make me feel like a criminal and shame me when I RMA'ed it. It was a shitty drawn out process I never want to deal with again. Apple support is unparalleled, if they have a car with that same kind of support? SIGN ME UP
