I've narrowed my choices down to the following components, but not sure if the cpu,ram and mb combo are compatibile. I'd appreciate any help in advice if any of these are compatible and opinions on the different mb's. This is an upgrade for my son's computer. He doesn't overclock, wants stability and only plays a couple of old games that aren't very graphic demanding. Wants (2) PATA connectors and full size ATX board.
He has an existing seasonic s-12 380W PSU, Plextor DVD, WD 250GB IDE HDD
CPU: 64 X2 3600+ Brisbane with Artic 64 Pro HS
RAM: Super Talent DDR2 667 (1 GB x 1 stick) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820609085
or someone once reccommended G Skill, but wasn't sure which stick it was.
MB: I've come up with these 3- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813123016,
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128321,
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138041
I don't fully understand if the voltages between the CPU, RAM and MB on any of these are compatible, but I think I'm close. Would any of these combos work?
Plus I'm adding a 7600GT card to this computer (not sure which one), and that might be overkill? Any suggestions would be helpful..thanks
