will any Infineon ram work with AMD systems?

i have two vendors, both selling PC 133 Infineon ram, one of them is selling it for $115cnd for 128mb and he says they work with AMD systems. the other one is selling it for $105, but it isn't marked on the ad. any input?

The vendor I bought my ram from was selling micron and infineon 128MB sticks for $80 CDN.

I'm in BC BTW

There is no special requirement for RAM to work with an AMD system at all. As long as it adheres to Intel's PC100 specification, you're fine. Depending on the quality of a PC133 stick, you may not be able to run your it at CAS2/133 MHz, but it should certainly work at less agressive timings, such as 133 MHz, CAS 3-3-3.

BTW, that price is a little high. I sell Micron PC133 128M for $90, which is considered top quality. Personally, I've used el-cheapo generic PC133 in most of my AMD builds and RAM has never been an issue.

$105 was the cheapest i could find in Ottawa :( guess it'll have to do. thanks for the info guys :)

I have no problem using Infineon with my AMD, running stable at 133 mhz more i guess.... (using 106 fsb, sdramclk=fsb+pciclk)
