I dont understand that hole rail crap. Whats the difference between the bad and a good psu. I mean what should i look for and what does that stuff mean.

ALSO, I have about $400 in staples gf and what to buy some stuff and move my system to a case. I saw SX630II for $62 shipped

I have a
P4 1.8,
cdrw,
40gb hd,
80gb mator quiet drive
dvddrive. SOON DVD WRITER
an external 120gb 5400 rpm drive.
Geforce 3

All this is in a gateway case with propably a 250watt psu and i wanted to move to a bigger case with more bays. Will this case and 300 watt be enough if im gonna put in a DVD writer, and a better video card??????? WILL 300watt be enough

well wattage is important but how abuot volts? like 12a and stuff heh i cant explain more but get a good name brand psu and one w/ good voltage on the sticker. You could have a 700watt psu and it have bad voltage and bam u wont have enough b/c of the voltage even know its 700watt

That's a good deal on a quality case and psu, it won't let you down, should do the job just fine. Might want to consider a sx635, just for some reserve power.

Drive rails screw on to the sides of the 5-1/4" devices, sometimes the 3-1/2" devices, then slide into carriers built into the case, latch in place. convenient.

There are a lot of differences between good psu's and cheap ones, from the design to the quality of the internal parts to actual performance and longevity. Quality units have steadier voltages with less ripple, and generally outlast the usefulness of the rest of the rig. They're also heavier due to beefier internals running at a lower percentage of max allowable output. Antec is good, as are several others, including Enermax, Sparkle, Heroichi, Delta, Channelwell and some of the Enlights and Enhance 0730&0735 models.

Make sense?
