I'm a bit of a n00b when it comes to this stuff, so I wanted to know if my old Radeon 7000 32MB DDR AGP will work with my Abit NF7 motherboard. Abit's site says it supports 8X, but is that backwards compatible so that the 2X/4X 7000 will work in it? Thanks in advance for your help!

Yes. Your board is 4x/8x AGP, and the card is 1x/2x/4x. They have common ground, so it'll work (at 4x).

Because older AGP cards had different voltages than modern AGP cards. If the AGP slot didn't have any protection you could potentially fry your motherboard and your video card.

But the Radeon 7000 should work fine in nissan's case.

Yes, the card will work.

All Radeon cards and all GeForce cards support AGP 4X / 1.5V and not the 3.3V that can harm your board.
