Will an Intel Pentium 4 desktop processor work on a laptop

My brother and I were cleaning out the laptop cooling fan, so we took it off yesterday and removed all the old worn out thermal paste and put some new things on. Reassembled it. While screwing it in, we realigned it and the CPU came along with the heat sink (it was stuck together) so we pulled it off and put it on but a pin or two got bent.

Since i took it apart again today I noticed the pin is bent (it was bent yesterday right when the cpu came up with the heat sink). This laptop does not have a clamp to hold the chip in.

Anyway I want to know if I can get a desktop chip to replace the mobile chip.

Currently the laptop has a Intel P4 SL77P Mobile Intel® Pentium® 4 Processors - M 3.06 GHz

I am thinking of replacing it with

Its got the same specs, just its a desktop and not a laptop. Now sure its going to run hotter but is there anything else?
