Will an Athlon X4 640 stock cooler fit a Phenom X3 720?

Hi folks,

A friend just gave me his old CPU and mobo; it's a Phenom X3 720, which apparently will unlock its fourth core as well. There's no cooler, though.

I have a brand-new, never-used Athlon X4 640 cooler in my box of spare parts....

So I'm wondering: will the X4 cooler fit this CPU? And will it keep it cool enough even if the fourth core is unlocked?

It's all about the socket, not the CPU. If its designed for socket AM3 then it will be fine.
