Will an ASUS A7V333 Rev. 1.02 support a 333Mhz FSB Barton?

I've heard of a few success stories and no failures with a BIOS flash to 1016. ASUS doesn't say it on their site (Only Rev 2.0 or later supposedly), but I did flash my BIOS to 1016 and the 166Mhz option is there. It will be a 3000+ Barton so I'm hoping it will work alright. Oh and technically the FSB is 166Mhz and the CPU clock just runs at double that (times whatever multiplier) right? Thanks!

Go here. Everything thing you want to know about the A7V is there. Also, generally Asus has a great CPU/Mobo compatability chart. Still the people at the linked site have even been able to make the venerable A7V 133 run a Mobile Barton....

Should work. I have an ASUS A7V333 rev 1.01 and an XP 3000+ (Barton) and it seems to work fine. PC has been on and constant for the past 3 days. Only thing I had to change was the cpu spped in BIOS. The only slight prob I have is that the hardware monitor in BIOS reads the cpu temp @ 70-75c, whereas SiSoft Sandra reads the cpu @ 50-53c. Which is right...dunno. So far it hasn't crashed, and I have been playing DOOM 3. hope this helps.
