I have a 1440p monitor and would like to use eyefinity. If I was to do it running at 7680x1440 would cost to much in GPU power at the moment. It would be nice as I don't want to lower my main monitors resolution as it would be a downgrade, so to be able to get another 2 monitors the same and just run two of the monitors at 1080p would be the best work around.
TL;DR: Why hasn't AMD or Nvidia done it so that you can use monitors at different resolutions as long as the ratio stays the same?
