Will AMD compete with the 7505

Is somebody knows if AMD has plan to modernize their 760 MPX chipset for dual MP. Right now, it seems to compete at the processor level with floating point tasks but at the game level, it sucks. The memory management is a year old...need a revamp.

Its not really meant to be playing games with anyway.

There will probably be little to no new development for that chipset.

Everything is being spent on the Hammer line I would suspect.

Yeah but if you invest in a dual AMD option because you need the power for other apps yet "need" that machine to game on as well (the expense of such a system could very well prevent someone from investing in a separate gaming machine), then something better than the 760 MPX could be very appreciated by such users plus the fact that AMD probably would be better off had they allowed development of a newer chipset (one that might support a 166 MHz fsb) much earlier. Now it is probably to late as it seems AMD is just hoping to ride out the remaining time with the 760 MPX until we can get some SMP K78 lovin.
