Will AMD 880G/AMD SB710 support SATA 6.0Gbs

I have an MSI 880G -E45 mobo with North Bridge : AMD 880G and South Bridge : AMD SB710. I have read some articles or forum entries, that stated these north and south bridges support SATA 6.0 Gbs. Can anyone verify and how would you measure that kind of data transfer rate? Is it controlled by the driver that is loaded or is it something else on the MB? Thanks for any info!

Nope, only the SB850 AMD southbridge supports SATA 6G.
