Will Alpine stereo fit in 98 Rav 4?

Well, the car stereo installation did a hack job on my cousin's Carmary, but he says that they didn't need to do that.

I will be able to get an Alpine deck (for free or cheap), but I don't wan't to have to cut around the slot to make it fit.

Does anyone know if the Alpine will fit without cutting?
 
What's the DIN sizes? If it's larger than the opening, then you're probably SOL unless you wanna keep it in a seperate box or something.

Yeah, Crutchfield shows a bunch of Alpine models that will fit your car. You might want to research the model of that Alpine head unit, however, and find out if it fits perfectly or if you need an adapter.

Thanks. The stereo is from a friend (which he has to find), so I don't know which model it is.
