Will all MW2 players go to BlackOps ?

I want to know this because IM waiting for blackops to come out soo MW2 can be cheaper and go on sale on steam ,, for like 20 bucks would be great,, or 30 sighs,,, well see. I wanna get into MW2 multiplayer but I have no money yet...

MW2 won't be cheaper any time soon, I'd say. Grab a snickers bar and prepare to wait. And yes, everyone will go to black ops of course, after all it is the BIGGEST GAME EVAR for them. Mucho gusto, peace out, etc.

You got it backwards. MW2 is the messed up one. It doesn't even have dedicated servers, no lean, and the most retarded plot I've heard of in a video game.

Everyone who made the mistake of buying MW2 is going to buy Black Ops to forget about that stupid abomination of a CoD game. CoD fans who skipped MW2 because it was a PoS are likely going to buy Black Ops.

CoD4 remained expensive for quite some time. As long as it's selling at current price (it still is in the top 10 or even 5 on Steam at times) I don't see it drastically reducing in price.

Though with a price drop plus a sale on Steam, I could see $30 being possible.

That said, if you really want to play it (apparently for some time given it was released last year) I don't see how it's so hard to spend $60 on it.

You can already find MW2 randomly on sale at places. I picked up my copy at amazon a couple months ago for $30, and Fry's also has it for sale for about that price

COD Black Ops=Treyarch=no purchase for me. Besides, I'll be on Halo Reach for a while. It's the first game in the series that actually looks like it might be different from the previous four, so I'm intrigued. If it's not-so-good, back to MW2 for me.

Hold your lols and do some research. It's been confirmed by Treyarch that dedicated servers will be used for the online multiplayer portion of Black Ops.

Hopefully Treyarch does at least as good of a job on Black Ops as they did on World at War. World at War wasn't perfect, but it was leaps and bounds better than Treyarch's previous CoD attempts. I believe they'll be using the MW2 engine so all they'll have to do is modify it for Black Ops just like they modified the CoD 4 engine for World at War.

The last time they had to make their own game engine (CoD 3), it was a disaster. In single player, enemies would randomly float off into they sky. The multiplayer was nearly unplayable due to connection issues for a few months after it's release until they finally patched it. Since they'll be coding the dedicated server portion of the multiplayer themselves, all we can do is hope that they've learned how to write proper net code since then.

Really? You really think they'll go back. There are cheaters in at least a third of the matches I play on mw2 pc. I am talking about obvious blatant cheating. Like I hide and he walks up to the wall zooms in and stays there so it shows on the kill cam and shoots me in the head through the wall - also im jumping so his cross hair is following my head as i jump up and down.

I used to play CoD online very actively, and then less and less so as each new game came out.

I played Modern Warfare 2 offline only.

BlackOps is going to be great.
