Hey guys wondering I have an Abit ZM6 socket 370 mobo. Was reading anandtech article claims the abit mobo will ignore clock mult. settings and will run a cpu over 8.0x. If I get a celeron 700 will it work in my mobo?

I don't believe the ZM6 supports cC0 stepping cpu's, meaning NO it won't support the 700 CII.
Celeron processors are multiplier locked, so if you have a 533a CII, and run it at the 100MHz bus
8x100=800MHz. 533a and some 566 and 600 CII's were cB0 stepping, which the ZM6 supports without having to buy a Powerleap adaptor to get them to work.

Hi

ZM6 should run with cC0 celerons with a little trick (adding a jumper between 2 pins). Officially Abit claims that any cB0 celeron up to 600MHz would be ok; you may look at my post related to 633 cB0 celeron : here
