Will Abit BX6 Rev. 1 support Coppermine P3

I am currently running a Pentium III 450 on my Abit BX6 Rev. 1 motherboard. I would like to upgrade to a coppermine PIII, if possible.

Will my board support the new PIII cpu's?

Thanks,

Chances are if you get a Slot 1 device it will work. Abit's comments were concerning support of the full voltage range down to 1.3V. The Slot 1 Cpu's start at 1.7 V so even if your board only goes down to 1.7 it should still be within reasonable range for the PIII.

Seems like there are people reporting success with the BX6 r 1's and PIII.

According to this it will support up to a P3-600. However, ask around for first hand experiences, Abit's list isn't exhaustive.
