pulled from a dell

quietpc.com/uk seems to think it will be a "satisfactory" cooling solution, but zalman make no mention of anything below the GF4 on their compatible list, and it doesnt appear on the incompatible list either!

i assume that if it'll fit all the GF4 Ti cards, that it will fit the GF3...holes should be in the same places

It'll probably fit, but why spend 20-30 bucks on a cooler for that card? Look for a Thermaltake Blue Orb for around half that.

just use zipties, thermal tape, and a decent sized old heatsink. or better yet, buy a new vid card. you can find a better card for the price of the zalman.

I agree. An old heatsink and some cable ties should do the trick...

DOn't get the VF700 - the cooler is worth more than the card.

Vantec makes some quiet hsf coolers that fit onto vga cards. I've used them to replace many cards, from a GeForce2 to a Radeon 9000 AIW to an FX5200. And they're a lot cheaper than the Zalman.

ive seen them vantec iceberg cooler things....i dont fancy a 6000rpm mini hair dryer. im gonna go Zip ties and old AXP heatsink with AS5 probably

anything is better than the paper thin passive heatsink thats on it now
