Will a Zalman CNPS7000A-AlCu work with a Athlon 1700?

Please excuse the newbie question, but I need to cool down my slightly old system which is a Athlon 1700 on a Asus AV7266-E mobo. Will the CNPS7000A-AlCu work, and if so is it the best choice for the money?
 
You should check Zalman's website because they have a MB compatibility chart.

I am running the 7000a-AlCu with my Soyo Dragon Plus/1800+/AOpen H600A and everything works very well. I think it is the best solution for the money since it has the heatsink, fan, and fan controller all for about $30.00. Also, it can be used on P4 systems, as well as 754 939, and 940 systems.

(BTW, your MB is compatible)

Also, I just saw that they now have a 7000b version with a smaller fan-mate controller and a slightly lower weight. Overall, the design looks pretty much the same, but if that version is available it may be a better choice if the price is the same.
