I searched here and did not find a clear abnswer. I also googled vanta with no clear answer.
A customer has moved pc's around and hooked a flat panel to this card when changing personel around. The screen looks like crap and really hurts the eyes. I need a solution, be it an updated driver or if need be, a new card. Either way, the current situation must change.

I divert to your expertise.

Thank you.:)

Some LCDs require you to select a refresh rate if they run from analog.

eg, my Samsung 151Q running off an SiS 650 (SiS315 integrated) needs me to select a refresh rate of 70Hz instead of 60Hz otherwise it looks horrible.

I have seen cards that give no output to LCDs at all, such as a 3dfx Voodoo 2 card (yes, with 2D passthrough).

Those analog-input LCD screens have a physical resolution you need to match, and a preferred signal frequency. You need to match the resolution exactly, and be inside the supported frequency range, ideally exactly on the preferred one. The resolution is essential to image quality, frequency not so.

So basically if your graphics card can produce the LCD's native resolution, you're in.

Cheaper LCD models sometimes need a little assistance to tune in onto the analog signal properly. Open a window, make it fullscreen, make sure there's some stuff in it (like a directory displayed in "details" mode), and THEN push the "auto adjust" button on the LCD. That way the LCD can detect the screen edges and phase in to the VGA signal's pixel clock properly.

I have been running my NEC 1530V for quite sometime with TNT Vanta 8MB.
No problem whatsoever.
Do what Peter said.
Auto sync the LCD, choose different refresh rate, and set the correct res (15" = 1024x768, 17" = 1240x1024, etc)
