Will a Touch Pro work on a not PDA data package?

If I have a regular phone plan and pay for internet, say medianet for $10 a month through ATT. Can I just transfer the sim to a Touch Pro and have the internet still work? The Touch Pro being a PDA usually requires a special PDA package for a data connection.... will it still work if you just a regular data package through your SIM?
