Will a three slot card work with a sound card in front of the first fan?

I have a micro-ATX motherboard and a small sound card. Based on my current three fan video card, the sound card in the fourth slot would likely leave little room in front of the first fan.

Would this cause much issue?

Which graphics card?

Without knowing that I'd say probably not, just don't overclock, however if it is a card that is known to run very hot you MAY have some issues.

A 2070 Super. The one I am looking at says 50.2 mm height. So about 2.5 slots wide if a slot is 20 mm.

I checked a review on the Gigabyte triple fan 2070S and they had the load temps at 62C which is really, really good so of your card is remotely comparable you should be fine.
