I have this great socket A heatsink but was wondering if it would actually fit and work fine on a 64 bit processor and a 939 board. I wouldn't want to spend extra money on another heatsink, but i am an overclocker so i may sell this current one for a 939 heatsink. Any suggestions?

Thanks

I don't think so. There's a whole new mounting setup. Unless the motherboard has mounting holes, and they match up, I really doubt it.

Nope. I had an SLK900A and it is meant to mount to socket A only. Besides, the newer heatpipe heatsinks actually outperform these older solid copper ones. You can get socket 939 compatible heatsinks that outperform the SLK900A probably starting at $20... then again the socket 939 CPUs put out less heat on average than socket A, unless drastically overclocked and overvolted.

Look at the sticky at the top for heatsink reviews...

More than suffice. The XP90C fits on more boards and cases than larger HSFs and has top notch performance, so I've heard (never owned one personally).
