Will a Swiftech MCX462+ hsf fit on my Abit KX7-333?

You spec your own fan with that one. Basically, choose your noise/performance sweet spot. Some places bundle it together with a fan.

as far as noise goes, how loud is it tho?
The heatsink is silent, the fan that you choose, however, can be as loud or as quiet as you want. Good place for heatsink/fans: SVC

here's the thing tho: copper conducts heat better than aluminum, but aluminum dissipates heat much faster. so basically you could get away with a slower fan with the mcx462. i'm going to have to look into this more, but i'm still leaning towards the swiftech...

also, i don't trust the way that the slk-800 is mounted.

Mmmmmk... do as you please, because in actuality, we are all conspiring against you hoping you will buy the inferior product so we can laugh at night... because none of us have anything better to do.

lol let him buy the heatsink he wants, there's little to no performance difference anyway. Personally id get the Swifty if I had the cash just because it looks cooler and has a better mounting system.

i'm actually considering not buying one at all...these heatsinks cost almost as much as my new 1700+ tbred-b...maybe i'll just spend the $45 on some ram or something 🙂

thanks for the tips everyone
