Will a Socket F Chip (Opteron 22xx) work in a Socket L (AthlonFX 7x/Socket 1207FX) Motherboard?

I need a new mobo cause mine's shot. I want a little bit of future-proof-ness. Since the Opterons are cheaper thab the Athkon FX's i want one of those. Can it work?

i.e. Can I plug a socket F Opteron into an AMD 1207FX/socket L mobo?

Except, of course, that AMD actually calls the socket Socket F (you can see this in its AMDCompare website). I would GUESS that it is possible from a technical standpoint. I haven't heard of anyone plugging in any Opterons onto a 4x4 motherboard or viceversa, so I can't be sure about anything. One thing to be concerned about, though, is BIOS support for buffered DIMMs, the software can (a lot of times) make things that should work not work at all.

Aight, Ima buy everything, try it, and then if it don't work, return it to newegg and be like, I couldn;t get these components to work together, but I don't believe any one is broken...
