will a simple pci video card (very cheap one) work on and dfi infiinity

hi all.
my computer just arrived.
1 amd operon 165
1 DFI Infinity NF4 SLI
1 250 gb hard disk.

now i am just waiting for a video card to complete the deal but i'll wait for the new card to arrive and cheapen to old ones so i was wondering will an old pci card work on this dfi.
 
i'm doing similar but in waiting for the new card to arrive (G71? x1900? G80/R600?) i jumped on the x800 deal at dell 🙂
