I just ordered a Chaintech Socket 754 MK8M800 motherboard and an AMD Sempron 64BIT 3000+ Processor S754 Palermo 1.8GHZ 128K L2 Cache 90NM SSE3 for a home/office budget PC I'm building. I was pretty confident they would work fine together until I realized that the description here (http://www.chaintechusa.com/tw/eng/product_spec.asp?MPSNo=13&PISNo=313) only puts '64' with Athlon, not specifically Sempron.
I hunted around Chaintech's site and can't find a compatibility list, and I'm not totally understanding the release notes for the latest BIOS for the MK8M800 from thier site either.
I've emailed thier tech support, but dunno how long for a reply (and I might be able to change my order this weekend if I have to).
Are these going to work? I don't mind updating the BIOS if needed...
